The original Thermophore Automatic Moist Heat Pack is designed with a special hand-held switch. Just press for heat, release to cool and alternate as often as you like. If you happen to doze off and your hand relaxes, the unit will cool as a safety feature.

I had one of your

I had one of your these same heating pads for almost 20 years!
Only reason I had to get rid of it was because part of the cord came apart from natural wear, I assume.
This is a great product.

I hate this

I have a different version of this product which I love. My bad, either it's changed or I ordered the wrong one...but if you have arthritis and are using a heating pad, you don't want to have to hold down the switch the entire time you are using it. My thumb is now in agony in addition to my other aches and pains. Don't know if the other one which has a choice of temperature with a simple switch and also has automatic shutoff is available, but don't get this one. It is a total waste of money and these things aren't cheap.

Never Received My Order-Poor Customer Service

I ordered a heating pad from this company several weeks ago. I never received a shipping notification and never received the pad. I was told it had been delivered because UPS sent them an email saying it had been delivered. I have been using these heating pads for over 30 years and have ordered many of them. I’ve never had a problem-ever. I receive packages from Amazon and other places almost daily. No problem. This company bears no responsibility for the fact that I paid for a pad and DID NOT receive what I paid for.

Thank you for shipping quick!

My old thermophore stopped working after 10 years. It had a timer on it and would turn off after about 10 minutes, which was great. This one I have to hold the switch down the whole time I want it to heat. Not what I had wanted, but I didn't think to check before I ordered. It does work great and it is nice and long. I am grateful for this one! Fast delivery, too!

I would have given it a 5, but you have to hold down the switch to get it to heat which I think is ridiculous. The pad itself was wonderfully made but it needs a switch that will stay on with a high, medium and low setting.
